Just Credit Union & Plane Saver Credit Union shortlisted for National Award

Just Credit Union & Plane Saver Credit Union have been shortlisted for a MoneyAge Award. Both credit unions are up for nomination in the same category “UK’s Ethical Services Provider of the Year”.
Now in its third year, the MoneyAge Awards celebrate excellence, professionalism and innovation in the financial industry. The awards are presented for banks, building societies and credit unions that have been recognised for offering a new product, focus on value and customer service.
Karen Farrow, Chief Officer at Just Credit Union speaking about her delight for their nomination, said: “Making the shortlist is a huge honour and testimony to the fact that we place improving the financial well-being of our members above all else”.
Chair of the board at Just Credit Union, Pat Buchanan added: “Making the shortlist not only recognises the hard work that the Just Credit Union team puts in every day, but also the ethical manner and customer focused way in which they operate”.
CEO of Plane Saver Credit Union, Valerie Walwyn also expressed her pride in being shortlisted for the award alongside Just Credit Union, Valerie said: “We are extremely proud to be shortlisted for Ethical Financial Services Provider of the Year. It’s a reflection of the great work we have been doing in order to help serve the Armed Forces community. With both Plane Saver and Just Credit Union on the shortlist, it really does help raise awareness to the positive impact credit unions are having within society”.
Nominations for each award are judged by an independent panel of highly experienced judges spanning the various fields of personal finance. Winners will be announced on October 18 which also shares the date with International Credit Union Day.
